Liz Ethan, and Bill stayed here last night. Julian and Vanessa and their kids joined us at Ten Fu for dinner. Jamie and Ginny and Jim stopped at Ten Fu after Jamie picked them up at the airport to say Hi. Ginny and Jim will be here for a week, so I will see them again. Liz, Bill, Ethan, and Josh had breakfast with me at El Cerrito this morning. We got back in time for them to meet Nisi before they left for the airport.

The nurse came by to check me this morning at !0:30 AM. I tried to show her the Excel spreadsheet Ethan made for my Medical log, but I could not make it bring up the data that we finally saw last night. I will talk to Ethan when he gets home. If necessagy I will create a new spreadsheet myself. I hate it wen computers don’t do what the should.

Today it is nice to have a cool, overcast day after the heat wave of the previous few days. Jason called last night from the mountains to say we should be able to meet at Ten Fu for a dinner tonight at 7 PM. That will be nice. I plan to take a shower today.

Last night I went to bed at 11:30 PM, so I did not watch Charlie Rose. I will try to watch the repeat showing at Noon today. Lily’s daughter in law is substituting for her today. She is cleaning and dusting now. We will go to the bank and Safeway when she finishes. I am looking forward to having Liz, Bill, and Ethan stay with me tomorrow night after they get back from skiing.

Now that the day is almost over, I have bestirred myself to send out today’s message. My new catheter is so good it has relieved me of most of my pain. Today the physical therapist came again and gave me a workout. Then the occupational therapist came and agreed with me that I do not need her., so she will not come back. I slept much better last night because of my new catheter. We are having a heat wave now, which is a big change from all the rain we were having.

Yesterday Lily drove me to my dentist appointment in the afternoon. Afterward I watched the News Hour and Obama’s speech. In the evening Joshua called me and told me the Stanford women were playing Gonzaga on TV so I watched them move on to the final four. After the game I watched a DVD of the Netflix movie Paper Man. It was supposed to be funny, but I thought it was terrible. I give it one star.

The Physical Therapist just left. This was her first visit. She will be back for a second visit on Wednesday. Yesterday Julian and Vanessa and their kids gave me a ride to Los Gator for Melanie and Amelia’s sixteenth birthday party. It was a very nice party with lots of kids there. The youngest was a two-year old girl and next oldest were Jack and Audrey, the Davidson twins. It was fun to watch the kids playing out side. The all ran around the neighborhood chasing each other. When I got home I watched a repeat of Downton Abbey on PBS and then watched the news. Again I turned in early since there is no Charlie Rose on the weekend. I think I am still improving.
