Yesterday Jason, Josh, and Julian with the Beech and Annie came over and watched the Sharks beat Detroit 2-1 for their second victory in their Stanley cup series. The Sharks now lead 2-0 in the series. So far so good. Joshua brought in some McDonalds burgers but Julian brought in Taco Bell for the kids. Julian and the kids left after the first period for another engagement, but it was great to see them. The next Sharks game will be in Detroit on Wednesday. Last night I was watching 60 Minutes on CBS when the programming was interrupted by the news the Osama had been killed by Americans and we had his body. Afterward I watched the first episode of South Riding on Masterpiece Theater. I then turned in early at 11:30 PM. I feel good today. I have an appointment with my urologist this morning.

Yesterday I read a good bit of The Economist. In the evening I watched a Netflix DVD of the movie Fair Game, a docudrama about the outing of Valerie Plame Wilson as a CIA agent and the smearing of her and her husband Joe Wilson, played by Sean Penn. Even though I knew the story, I found it very interesting and troubling. I give it four stars. There was also a commentary on the film by the real Valerie and Joe Wilson. I feel good again today.

Yesterday I ordered a new book for my Kindle. It was the last book of the Cave Bear series. It has been a long time since I read the previous one, so I am glad to be able to finish the series. Last night I watched the Sharks play the first game of their Stanley Cup series with the Detroit Redwings. Detroit scored in the first period, and neither team scored in the second period. Joe Pavelski tied the game in the third period and sent the game into overtime. A rookie who had just been brought up from the farm team then scored in overtime to win the game for the Sharks. It was their fourth overtime win in the playoffs this year. Josh called me after the game. He was at the game with Kermit, and was very happy with the result. He said he would come over and watch tomorrow’s game with me at noon tomorrow. I had a good sleep last night and feel good today.

I thought I had an appointment with my family doctor today, but for some reason I did not, so I made one for a week from today. I originally had one with my urologist today, but his nurse called and changed it to next Monday (2 May). Last night I watched a DVD of the movie How Do You Know. It had a good cast, but the premise was so lame I thought it was silly. I give it 2.7 stars. I am feeling good again today.

Yesterday I took a shower and did laundry. I also did my week’s shopping at Safeway. In the late afternoon I had dinner at El Cerrito with Larry and Judi. In the evening I watched a Netflix DVD of the movie Tron: Legacy. It was OK, but I was not too impressed by it, so I give it only 2.7 stars. I have heard on TV that the Sharks will play Detroit tomorrow (Friday). If Josh does not get tickets for the game, he will probably come watch with me. I feel good today.

Yesterday I read Science and watched PBS shows on TV. In the Evening I watched a DVD of the movie Never Let Me Go. It was a science fiction based on a book by a Japanese writer. It was about raising children in a school so they could be used as organ donors. I thought it was too implausible to suspend disbelief. I give it 2.8 stars. I feel good again today.

Joshua brought in pizza and watched the Sharks game with me. The Sharks never trailed, but every time the Kings tied the score Josh would go crazy. I was afraid the neighbors would complain. It all turned out well. Joe Thornton scored the winning goal in overtime, so the Sharks won the series 4-2 and will move on to the next round. Three of the Sharks victories came in overtime. I had a good sleep last night, so I feel good again today.
