Yesterday I went with Vanessa and Annie to Stanford Plaza to walk around and look at the flowers and stores. We had Jamba Juice for a snack and a nice lunch at at one of the restaurants. In the evening I watched the Sharks beat the LA Kings in the first game of the Stanley Cup playoffs. It was a close hard fought game. The Sharks never trailed, but it was well into overtime before Pavelski scored and won the game for them 3-2. Jason and Joshua were at the game, so they saw a good one. Game two will be Saturday night.

I just had a shower and started a load of laundry. I am feeling good today. Last night I watched PBS shows about cars and about telescopes.

I just got back from having breakfast at El Cerrito and doing my Safeway shopping. When I got home I realized I had forgotten to buy more cranberry juice. Oh well. I can do without it until next time. Otherwise I am fine.

I got through my first day with no caregiver just fine. I have their numbers and can call them back if I ever need them. Last night I watched Disk 1 of Season 2 of Nurse Jackie. It is a funny series. It has been a long time since I watched Season 1, but it picks right up.

Yesterday was the last day for my caregivers. Lily still needs to stop by to pick up her check, but I gave Nisi her check yesterday. I took my 9th Labetalol this morning, counting from when I resumed taking them last week. My blood pressure this morning was 149/81, which is a little high. I am beginning to wonder if I should take two pills at a time twice a day like the instructions say on the package.

Last night I watched a Nature show about Cuba on PBS and the watched the new Upstairs Downstairs on Masterpiece Theater. The Sharks are scheduled to start the playoffs on Thursday against Los Angeles.

Last night I had dinner and a movie with Larry Morrill. Judi is out of town for meetings in Washington. We saw Hanna, a thriller about a little girl with altered DNA and trained to be a perfect soldier/killer. It was too preposterous to suspend disbelief, so I give it only 2 stars. I took my 7th Labetalol this morning since I resumed the medication, and so far so good.

Yesterday I had lunch at The Dutch Goose with Ginny and Jim. We all loved the cheeseburgers and French fries. After lunch we came back to my condo and watched a DVD of LA Confidential. It had been a while since I had seen it, and neither of them had seen it, so it was fun to watch. I choose it because they requested a movie with lots of action and violence. In the evening I watched the Sharks lose to Phoenix 2-3. They played poorly in the first period and tried to catch up in the third period, but it was too late. They play them again tonight in San Jose for the last game before the playoffs.
